How much access space is required to get the jumping castle to the set up area?

Access ways need to allow for at least 1 metre of space for the medium jumping castles and minion castle and 1.1 metres for the Ninja 5 in 1 and Double Slide.

What if there are steps to get to the set area?

If there are steps, you will need to notify us when making the booking as the jumping castles are heavy and they can be difficult to manoeuvre up and down steps.

As a general rule: If there are more than five steps there needs to be someone on site that can help manoeuvre the jumping castle and we need to know at the time of the booking.

How long does it take to set up and pack up the jumping castle?

It takes around 15-25 mins to set up and pack up the jumping castle depending on the type of access and type of castle.

Who sets up the jumping castle?

The jumping castle will be set up and dismantled by Have A Jump! Staff Member(s).

Can we move the jumping castle during the hire period?

No, please do not attempt to move the jumping castle once set up due to safety requirements. “Penalties may apply if castle is moved.”

Are the set up and dismantling times included in the hire time?

No, we will set up the castle before the requested hire time starts and it will be taken down after the requested hire time concludes. We do request that there is clear access and there is room to manoeuvre the jumping castle to the set up area.

What is the latest time I can have the jumping castle?

For safety reasons, the following times are the latest our castles can be booked to:

–  From the start of November until the end of March 7pm.

–  From the start of April until the end of October 5pm.

Does someone need to supervise the operation of the jumping castle?

Yes the castle needs to be supervised at all times for the safety of the children who will use it. A responsible adult over 18 years of age must supervise the jumping castle at all times. There will be brief training given in the operating instructions for the jumping castle on the day of the hire. If you require a Have A Jump! Staff Member to supervise the castle, we would be happy to organise someone from our team to stay and supervise a cost of $35 per hour.

How and when is payment made?

Cash on delivery or EFT transfer 3 days prior to hire date. An invoice and/or receipt can be supplied on request.

Is a deposit required?

No, it is not necessary. Have A Jump! reserves the right to request a deposit, however in most cases once an email confirmation has been sent to secure your booking, you can rest assured Have A Jump! will abide by your booking details, unless weather conditions do not permit. A second confirmation is sent via text or email a day prior to your event.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, Have A Jump! carries a 20 million dollar Public liability Insurance. (PDF available for download)

Is there a total weight limit?

Yes, there is a total weight limit; it is 360kg for the medium jump castles and 540kg for The Ninja and Double Slide.

What is the maximum number of children allowed on the castle at one time?

Medium Jumping Castles – 3-12 year olds – Max 8-10 Children at one time

Minion Combo – 3-8 year olds – Max 6-8 Children at one time

5 in 1 Castle – 3- 12 year olds – Max 8-10 Children on at a time

Double slide – 3 year olds to Adults – Max 10-12  on at a time

What happens if it rains?

In the event of strong winds or rain, Have A Jump! reserve the right to cancel the booking if we feel safety will be compromised. In this case Have A Jump! will contact you promptly to discuss the matter.   If it rains please get everyone of the castle. It is safe to use once the rain has stopped and the jumping area has been wiped down.

What surface can the jumping castle be set up on?

The jumping castle can go on grass and concrete, please let us know at the time of booking if it will not be on grass.  If sandbags are required, it will be an extra $20.

What if there is not an accessible Power Point?

Not a problem! A generator can be supplied for you at an additional cost of $50. Have A Jump! will supply extension cords if necessary.

Can Have A Jump! set up in a park?

We certainly can. In this case the customer will have to gain council approval. This usually involves contacting your local council and they will send someone out to mark out on the grass where Have A Jump! is able to set up and peg into the ground. Have A Jump! will not set up in a park without written council approval emailed at least 3 days prior to your event.

What happens if we damage the jumping castle?

If the damage is considered malicious then you will be liable for the full cost of repairs, transport costs associated with the repairs and the loss of business costs while the castle is repaired. We keep a record of the condition of our castles and would advise you to check the jumping castle before the delivery person leaves, and note any problems
